Looking out across the Plant Planet, Major Giant Venus Flytrap launched into a very beautiful speech about how wonderful the AstroNuts were, how lucky the Plant Planet was to have them visit, how perfect this was all going to be, how he’d forgotten to call his mom the night before, the last really good book he read, even his favorite color.

The whole thing really went on and on much too long. It was very confusing, but it was very nice, and it made our AstroNuts feel very wanted.

It’s nice to feel wanted in a new place, sometimes.

But trust the experience of a planet who has been around for 4.5 billion years—not always.
